Vienna, February 22, 2022. Impact Hub proudly announces a partnership with sustainable hotel booking platform, Goodwings. Why? To take climate action. How? By better understanding, reducing and removing its travel-related carbon emissions — at scale.
Petr Skvaril, Partnerships Director at Impact Hub, says “This partnership will allow us to better understand and manage our carbon footprint and remove our travel-related emissions from the atmosphere. We are very keen to promote this opportunity to our members and partners, thousands of small and growing businesses around the world” — to facilitate them to travel Net Zero by booking their travels through the Goodwings platform.

Together, we aim to mitigate the negative impact of climate change and help to meet the Paris Agreement goal of limiting global warming below 2°C by 2050.
Christian Møller-Holst, CEO & Founder of Goodwings explains, “Flying, staying in hotels and even eating. Greenhouse gasses are emitted in almost all aspects of travel and tourism, which are responsible for nearly 10% of the world’s carbon footprint. These emissions have an extremely negative effect on the environment. Compensating them, by supporting green energy projects, protecting forests and biodiversity or improving waste management is great, but not enough. We must verifiably remove our emissions from the atmosphere to limit global warming and reduce the worst impacts of climate change.”
