Innovation Ecosystems for Social Change
Better Incubation is the result of collaborative efforts between Impact Hub, EVPA, and the European Business and Innovation Centre to foster a more inclusive and impact-driven approach to innovation entrepreneurship. In our joint pursuit to develop a more inclusive and socially engaged entrepreneurship support system, we focus on supporting underrepresented or vulnerable groups.

Communities of Practice
We’ve developed five Communities of Practice (CoPs) where participants share their knowledge and experience on how to best approach and support entrepreneurs from under-represented groups. Click on one of the CoPs to download its factsheet.
Transforming Insights Into Actions
We developed five Communities of Practice (CoPs) where participants share their experiences on how to best approach and support entrepreneurs from under-represented groups. A comprehensive toolkit for business support organisations was also created, including valuable methodology and resources to make programmes more inclusive and accessible.
Training Opportunities
How to adapt and modify services to help social and under-represented entrepreneurs transform ideas into viable businesses and grow them by accessing new funding and market opportunities.
Pillar 1: Social Entrepreneurship Training
A foundational course on Social Entrepreneurship structured in 5 online modules, 1 in-depth training on impact measurement and a number of ad-hoc coaching activities delivered in 2021.
Pillar 2: Inclusive Entrepreneurship Training
The Inclusive Entrepreneurship Pillar, with 5 thematic focus sessions (one per each vulnerability group) and 1 session on barriers for inclusion delivered in 2022.
Pillar 3: Impact Measurement and Management Training
The training is an in-depth learning experience to support those organisations interested in designing and refining an impact measurement system to better support social and inclusive entrepreneurs in their programmes, as well as better assess their own impact.

Better Incubation Pilots Impact Report
Communities of Practice (CoP) members came together to learn from each other, codify tools and processes, build new knowledge on better incubation for the sector, and develop policy recommendations. The 21 BSOs engaged in the CoPs implemented 21 pilot programs for more than 133 entrepreneurs. The findings that resulted from the impact measurement of the pilots are presented in this insights paper and can inform future best practices and policies in inclusive incubation.
