Sometimes new is better…Impact Hub is shaping the post-COVID-19 economic recovery of Ghana and Nigeria

As the global economy recovers from the effects of COVID-19, all of us are faced with a choice: return to the old normal, or build a re-imagined future. Impact Hub is taking the lead in deciding to pioneer the latter by facilitating the emergence of The New Economy, which should prioritise sustainable and equal access to food, healthcare, education and opportunity.

To get there, we will keep supporting impact-driven entrepreneurs and reinforcing our invitation for you to join us.  As a catalyst of this effort, The New Economy Booster program has been created by Impact Hub in partnership with the lab of tomorrow and with the support of The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) to help impact entrepreneurs in Ghana and Nigeria develop their businesses and spark innovation in COVID-19 affected sectors.

We are currently looking for partners to support the New Economy Booster by joining the program as mentors, coaches and trainers to help innovative solutions to grow to the next level. We hope that as more partners see the value of championing the new economy, we can expand it to geographies that need it most.

It is designed to nurture the rise of a more resilient economy by boosting solutions or ventures that are already in the market or ready to go-to-market. These endeavors are creating a positive impact and contributing to the country’s post-pandemic economic recovery. The pilot program running in Ghana and Nigeria has identified key sectors where impact can be made. These are:

  • Ghana: Agriculture, Healthcare, Education, Tourism and Hospitality, Manufacturing.
  • Nigeria: Agriculture, Healthcare, Education, Creative and Culture, Trade.

This seven-month tailor-made online program is highly customized to make sure each venture receives relevant support. And this is where you come in!

We are looking to team-up with people and organizations who can help with:

If this sounds like you, join us in our mission to fast-track the development of the new economy in Ghana, Nigeria and beyond:

After you get in touch with us, we will share details about the phases (Incubation and Acceleration) and agenda of the program and where your expertise would be a good fit.
